On Saturday the Knights faced the Abington Galloping Ghosts at Abington. The game was an exciting one with the Knights beating the Ghosts 48-21. In the beginning the defense looked a little shaky but overcame an early Abington touchdown and played a strong game.
The Knights offense really stole the show with its aerial attack as well as its ground game. QB Justin Wutti had four touchdown passes to four different recievers, Jeff Ball, Kevin Akins, Jim Laky, and Deanco Oliver. The Knights offense was able to pass and run the ball well against Abington. Jim Casertano, Kevin Akins, and Jim Laky each scored on the ground as well.
The offensive line played a great game giving Wutti plenty of time to throw the ball and the running backs big holes to run through. Only in the beginning did the offense have trouble when Wutti threw an interception. But the Knights defense stopped them. Abington scored its only touchdown in the first half after a good return on the kickoff gave them good yardage. The touchdown was scored on the first play from scrimmage.
The Knights set the tone for the game by not letting the Ghosts talented backfield get the best of them. This game was a good test for the Knights who play against Pennridge next week..
