The forecast for Friday night was thundershowers, and down at Crawford Stadium there was plenty of thunder, but no showers. The Knights took on the Pennridge Rams in what was deemed "the biggest game of the season" by Coach Beck. The Knights beat Pennridge 28-7.
The Knights won the toss and elected to kick. The Knights defense was able to hold the Rams on their first possession. On the second play from scrimmage, Jim Casertano burst through the middle and ran for a 65-yard touchdown. Pennridge scored on its next possession, but that would be the first and last time they would see the Knights' endzone.
The Knights offensive line played an amazing game on Friday night. The Pennridge defense is probably the biggest defensive line in the league. They were practically impenetrable, but the offense line was able to make a couple of holes for the backs to run through
The Knights defense played well. With a strong showing from the secondary and linebackers. The line didn't make many plays, but were able to free up the linebackers to pressure the Ram's backfield.
This was definitely a big win for the Knights since they have established that this team is a serious playoff contender. After last year's season, this really makes people stand up and take notice of the North Penn Knights.
