|
Senior Justin Wutti took a day off from his busy schedule to speak to the Lansdale Cannoneer Youth Football League at their annual awards banquet on Saturday, January 4. A former Cannoneer himself, he spoke to the myriad of young boys and girls about the way that football has enriched his life. He spoke of overcoming adversities to accomplish his goals, despite what other people may say. He encouraged the younger football players to strive to do their absolute best in school and football , and never let other people's views deter them. Justin stated that "school comes first, and football is a close second", and that it is important to do well in school. After speaking to the boys and girls, Justin took questions from the audience, including one asking if he would like to play in the NFL when he "grows" up. His answer? He wouldn't turn it down, but is focusing on a college education right now.
Justin Wutti began playing for the Lansdale Cannoneers at the age of 5 and was the quarterback for the North Penn Knights this past season. He holds the single game passing record with 265 yards, against Abington in the 2002 season. Justin is currently considering several colleges |
