It was freezing cold, rainy, and windy. But it was well worth it. The Knights took on the Central Bucks East Patriots at Crawford Stadium tonight. Entering the game with a 6-1 record, 2-0 in the division, the C.B. East was looking to upset the 7-0 North Penn Knights.
The rain certainly made the game more intense. The slippery conditions made it difficult to have a passing game tonight. QB Adam Hearns took advantage of this and scored 3 touchdowns in 4 quarters. The running game was strong, with big carries from Kevin Akins, who added with 2 touchdowns. Great defense was played by the entire Knights squad tonight only allowing one touchdown through 48 minutes of play. Jeff Ball looked exceptional tonight with big hits and a sack. George Farrell also played well, with some tackles of his own.
George Farrell also looked impressive as he walked the runway during half time. Tonight's game was also the day of Homecoming, with a very diverse court. George, a senior co-captain was crowned Homecoming King at half time along with Jasmine Lynch, a member of the Knights and Maidens Cheerleading squad. Congratulations to our newest King and Queen, and also to the Knights football team who defeated Central Bucks East 38-7 to improve their record to 8-0. North Penn hopes to move to 9-0 as they take on Pennsbury next Friday night.
