The North Penn Knights are looking strong once again, after defeating Pennridge 35-10 in game 5. However early in the first quarter, Pennridge seemed to catch the Knights off guard and jumped to a 3-0 lead. After that field goal, the Knights defense stepped it up, only allowing one touchdown in the 4th quarter. The Knights offense was powerful, and efficient as three touchdowns were scored in a combination running passing game. Deanco Oliver led the Knights, returning two punts for scores. Jeff Ball, Jim Laky, and quarterback Eric Halberstadt all added touchdowns of their own. Extra point kicker Jon Striefsky was once again perfect, going 5 for 5.
Defensively the Knights shut down the Ram's offense. Forcing fumbles and making big tackles, George Farrell, Jim Casertano, and Chris Tribanas were a force to be reckoned with. Despite a last ditch attempt by the Rams, the Knights rolled on to a 35-10 victory. The Knights travel to Glen Mills next Friday night.

The Knights visited Poppy Yoder Field Thursday evening to take on the Pennridge Rams. The Rams coming off a 3-1 record were fighting for their lives in this must win situation, the Knights also looking for a win to add to their undefeated record. The Rams came out looking good on their first drive, but came up short as the North Penn defense held the Rams’ offense to only 3 points. Despite a few mental errors by the Knights’ offense they managed to jump to a 21-3 lead at the half. The Knights came out the second half continuing right where they left off putting two more scores up on the board and managed to beat the Rams 35-10. The Rams fall to 3-2 in the league standings. Impressive numbers put up by Deanco Oliver as he returned two breathe taking punt returns into the end zone, Eric Halberstadt as he managed to turn a fumbled snap into a long gain for a score, and Jim Laky who also to get a score of his own on offense. On the other side of the ball the Knights allowed nothing to the Pennridge offense with the exception of that field goal in the first quarter and George Farrell’s interception put the lid on an outstanding display of defense against a very good team. The Knights travel to Glen Mills next Friday Night.
