WAY TO GO NORTH PENN

On Friday night your North Penn Knights became division champs for the first time in 19 years. And who better to have won against than C.B. West. This is the Knights second straight win against the Bucks in 2 years. But in the beginning it seemed, as if maybe the Knights were a little unprepared when West drove down the field and score on its first possession.

But on the Knights first possession they drove down the field and scored tying the game at 7. Then the Knights scored again before the half, but the extra point was unsuccessful and the score going into half time was 13-7. The Knights offense was really on top of its game on Friday night. Not only was the running attack of Kevin Akins and Jim Casertano successful, but QB Justin Wutti made many clutch passes to keep their hopes alive.

Only the defense looked a little shaky, but their improvement in the second half was astounding after allowing West to tie it up at 21. The defense had two extremely key stops in the fourth quarter to ensure that the Knights would be taking home the victory. There you have it, North Penn beat C.B. West 27-21.

Pre-Game Write-up

On Friday night the Knights will take on the C.B. West Bucks in a AAAA clash for the playoffs. If the Bucks win, their playoff hopes are kept alive, and if the Knights win they'll be the first division champs in 19 years at North Penn.

The Knights have been going through a hard week of practice, a.k.a. "West Week." North Penn is salivating at the mouth for their chance to beat C.B. West for the second straight year in a row.

The Bucks, coming off of a disheartening loss to cross town rivals C.B. East, are looking to take revenge on the Knights. The teams are pretty evenly matched and for either one to win they will have to take control up front, by running the ball.

Also the defenses will have to come through big on Friday night and the more dominating defense will be a big factor in this outcome. The game should be a good one and I hope all of you come out to support the Knights, rain or shine.
